About this item

The KastKing Kapstan & Elite is a saltwater spinning reel built to handle offshore and deep-sea fishing conditions. It combines an IPX6 waterproof sealing system with a strong CNC aluminum body, aerospace-grade gearing, and a carbon fiber drag system rated up to 55lbs depending on size. Multiple stainless steel and polymer bearings keep the retrieve smooth even under heavy saltwater use. Note that larger sizes (5000/6000/8000) need the bail closed manually before each retrieve — this is intentional, not a defect.

IPX6 waterproof build with up to 15 EverSeal rubber rings and an Intrusion Shield sealing system to keep saltwater out of the gears
Carbon fiber drag system: 30lbs max on sizes 3000/4000, 40lbs on 5000/6000, and a 5+1 double drag setup giving 55lbs on size 8000
CNC-machined aluminum frame with a carbon fiber rotor on 3000/4000 or CNC aluminum rotor on 5000/6000/8000, plus a solid aluminum power handle
6 double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings, 1 corrosion-proof polymer roller bearing, and an 8-pin one-way bearing for anti-reverse control
HRB 90 aerospace-grade pinion gear paired with manganese brass for high durability, and a braid-ready CNC aluminum spool
Bail closes automatically by turning the handle on sizes 3000/4000; sizes 5000/6000/8000 require manually closing the bail before retrieving
