About this item

This is a two-piece threading holder set for metal lathes, pairing a 1/2" internal boring bar (SNR) with a 5/8" external bar (SER), both compatible with AXA/BXA quick-change posts. It comes with 10 TiN-coated carbide inserts (16ER/16IR, AG60, 60° angle) that cut clean, accurate threads in steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel. The holders are nitride-treated so the insert seat stays flat and square, avoiding the tapered threads you get from cheaper holders.
