The Fosi Audio SK02 is a compact desktop DAC and headphone amp built on the ESS SABRE ES9038Q2M chip, capable of DSD256 and 32bit/384kHz decoding with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced outputs. It puts out up to 1100mW on the balanced jack and comfortably drives headphones or IEMs between 16-300 ohms, all while keeping distortion at just 0.001% THD. Beyond headphone duty, it doubles as a preamp for active speakers or paired amps, taking input over USB-C or optical from a computer, TV, or CD player. The whole unit is CNC-machined from one aluminum block with a sandblasted finish.
