About this item

The TASCAM DR-40XP is a handheld field recorder built for musicians, content creators and anyone recording on location. It captures 32-bit float audio up to 96kHz through adjustable stereo condenser mics, plus two XLR/TRS inputs with phantom power for external sources. Ultra-low-noise HDDA preamps keep recordings clean, and USB-C lets it work as a computer audio interface when you're back at your desk. Long battery life and support for large microSDXC cards make it ready for extended sessions away from a power outlet.

Adjustable X-Y/A-B stereo condenser mics for flexible stereo imaging
Dual XLR/TRS combo inputs with +48V phantom power for external mics
HDDA preamps for ultra-low-noise, clear sound across a wide dynamic range
USB-C doubles as a 2-in/2-out audio interface for DAW recording
Runs up to 18 hours on AA batteries, supports microSDXC up to 512GB
