About this item

The Fosi Audio ZH3 is a fully balanced desktop DAC/headphone amp/preamp built around an AKM4493SEQ chip and XMOS XU316 processor for clean, high-resolution playback up to 768kHz/32bit PCM and DSD512. It drives headphones from 16Ω to 300Ω through 6.35mm or 4.4mm balanced outputs, and connects to almost any source via USB, optical, coaxial, RCA or 12V trigger input. On-board EQ, six filter modes, and replaceable op-amps let you shape the sound, all controlled through the unit's clean Z-Series display.

• AKM4493SEQ DAC with XMOS XU316 processor and four OPA1612 amps, handling PCM up to 768kHz/32bit and DSD512, noise floor as low as 1.9 µV
• 6.35mm single-ended output (640mW@32Ω x2) and 4.4mm balanced output (2570mW@32Ω x2), with a three-stage gain switch covering 16Ω–300Ω headphones
• Inputs: USB, optical, coaxial, RCA, 12V trigger — Outputs: XLR, RCA, 4.4mm, 6.35mm, so it works as a DAC, headphone amp, or preamp on one desktop
• UAC mode switching keeps it compatible with gaming consoles as well as PCs and music sources
• Adjustable bass/treble EQ, six selectable filter modes (bypass included), and two swappable op-amps for tuning the sound to your taste
