Franklin Sensors ProSensor M150/X990 9-Sensor Stud Finder, AC Wire Warning

About this item

The Franklin Sensors ProSensor M150 (X990) uses 9 sensors at once to pinpoint studs more reliably than basic stud finders. There's no calibration step — just press, hold, and move the tool across the wall, and the LED display maps out the full width of each stud, marking its center in green. One always-on deep scan mode sees up to 1.5 inches into the wall to catch wood or metal studs, and it also warns you if there's a live AC wire nearby. It takes 2 standard AAA batteries (not included); rechargeable batteries aren't supported.

• 9 sensors scan at once for sharper accuracy than typical 1-2 sensor stud finders
• No setup needed — hold the button down and start scanning, even right over a stud
• Lights up the entire width of a stud on the display, including doubled-up studs, with the center LED turning green
• Single deep-scan mode reaches up to 1.5 in and reads through wood or metal studs
• Built-in AC wire detection flags live wiring before you drill
• Runs on 2 AAA batteries (sold separately); rechargeable batteries won't work with it
