The Kolsol NF-8209 is a battery-powered network cable tester built for Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a/Cat7 cabling work. It combines TDR-based fault and length detection, PoE voltage testing, hub port flashing, and full continuity checks in one grey 282g unit. An added NCV probe lets you check for live AC voltage without touching the wire.

Locates cable breaks and measures length using TDR technology, accurate from 2.5m to 200m with 98% accuracy
Three scanning modes - digital, analog, and PoE - to trace cables through walls and bundles
Checks PoE lines for voltage, power polarity, and PSE standard (af/at)
Finds the right port on a hub or switch by flashing its light, and reads back speed, transmission mode, and protocol
Tests continuity on Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, and Cat7 cables (UTP & STP), catching opens, shorts, crossed and split pairs
