About this item
This is a replacement dryer heating element (Part #279838) built with a high nickel-chromium coil on a galvanized steel support for durable, even heating. It's rated 5400W/240V with two 5/16" terminals and comes as a kit with a matching thermal fuse, second thermal fuse, high-limit thermostat and cycle thermostat so you can fix the whole heating circuit at once. It cross-references to many OEM numbers (279816, 3977767, 3387134, 3392519, 8565582, W10724237 and others) and fits a wide range of Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana and Roper dryer models. Always disconnect power before installing.
